Former District 1 City Councilor Sean Rose announced his candidacy for Worcester City Councilor At-Large.

During his six years on the city council, Rose championed initiatives such as inclusionary zoning, accessory dwelling units, and a specialized stretch code. As chairman of the Economic Development subcommittee, Rose worked to secure more than $1 billion in public and private investment.

“We don’t know what the next four years will bring, but one thing is certain: municipal government will play a crucial role in shaping our community’s future,” Rose said. “That’s why I’m running—because local government must lead with balance, build bridges, and work together to create a better tomorrow.”

Rose will officially kick off his campaign at a Winter Mixer on Monday Dec. 30 from 6-8 pm at the Hibernian Cultural Center on Temple Street.
